The Future of Gas Stations
If you think that people are getting lazier, you're not wrong. If you think things are going to get better, think again. The people over at Husky and Fuelmatics have come up with a robot that can fuel your car for you. The robot can open your gas tank with a suction cup arm and then dispense three different types of fuel from three different arms, depending on what type of fuel you use.
Since most modern cars come without fuel caps, the robot just has to insert the fuel nozzle and it will pump up your tank without any help from you. Of course, if you have an older car with a cap, you will have to take the cap off in order for the robot to pump up your tank, which sort of defeats the purpose of the robot.
The addition of a drive thru fuel filling station will not only make refueling faster, you can fill up your tank even if the gas station is closed. This still begs the question: Are robots like these making things easier and faster or are they just making people lazy and stupid?
