Introducing the WaterCar Panther

 

Many companies have tried to build cars that also work as boats, but none have been really successful. The Amphicar kept sinking every time it went in the water, and didn't do much better on land. The only vehicle that has been successful are the boats used on the Boston Duck Tours.

 

Now, there is a company in California that has managed to create one that does. Based off of the current Jeep model, this car is powered by a V6 from the Acura MDX. It will get to 80 mph on dry land, and 44 mph on the water.

 

Much like the Amphicar, there is a procedure once you get in the water. Put the transmission to neutral, hit a button that turns on the jet propellers, and hit another button to raise the wheels.

 

Like other vehicles that are two things in one, this car requires being registered as both a car and a boat. Some states may even require that you have a boating license to drive it. But on the other hand, you now have a car, boat, and trailer all in one. At a price of $135,000, it's almost like buying both a car, boat, and trailer, only way more fun.
