TVR Looking at Making a Comeback

TVR is probably not a car company that most people have heard of, unless you live in Britain. The company has been in and out of bankruptcy more times than other car industries. The company's also been in and out of the car industry so many times and owned by multiple owners, always winding up at the bottom of the financial cycle.

Apart from the bad financial situations, TVR has made some of the most amazing and true sports cars other companies seldom make right. One of the great cars was the Tuscan. Made between 1967-1971 and then again between 1999-2006, the Tuscan was powered by a straight six, with five different power options to choose from. The most powerful option had 440 hp and could do 0-60 mph in 3.7 seconds.

The Tuscan had everything a true sports car needed. The engine was mid mounted with just enough power and the car was rear wheel drive. Even in 2006, the Tuscan didn't have any traction control, anti-lock brakes, or even airbags. TVR believed that the car was safer without them and performance was greatly improved as well. It also made the car way more fun to drive.

Now that TVR has been sold to a new owner, he has noted that TVR will be making cars again. There has been nothing yet as to what cars will be built, when we will see them, or where they will be sold. All we know is that the original TVR website has been reborn and now we just have to wait until we hear further news.
