How to Make Camping Fun with Mini

 

Some people love camping, other people hate it and prefer staying at a hotel. RV's are quite cool, but are too big for normal roads and not so much fun to drive. Then there's the caravan, which shouldn't even be allowed on the roads. So what is there to do? It looks like Mini has a few answers.

 

One option is known as the Countryman All4 Camper, which has a folded tent on the roof which when unfolded, becomes a portable hotel room. You can move it to the ground or just keep it on the roof and sleep on your car. The tent can be moved and attached to any Mini model.

 

Another option is the Clubvan Camper, which is almost like a small house that folds up and sits on your roof. Inside, you get a sleeping area, plus a kitchen with a stove and miniature fridge.

Sadly, none of these options, including the camper tent accessory, are available in the U.S. and from the looks of it, it won't be coming any time soon either. So it looks like you have only two choices: strap a tent to your roof and be completely miserable, or just stay in a hotel room. I'll pick the hotel room.
