Introducing the Innotech Aspiron

 

With the exclusive supercar world being run Bugatti, Pagani, and Koenigsegg, it's very hard for a newcomer to join the supercar club. But a company in the Czech Republic believes that it can give the other supercar companies a run for their money.

 

Known as the Innotech Aspiron, this 1,680 lb. track car is something for people who want something a bit more hardcore than a tame Ferrari. Like Koenigsegg who used an old Ford engine and then tuned it up a notch, this car uses the same engine found in the Corvette ZR1. You get around 800 hp with the base version, and if you decide to run this car on bio-friendly ethanol, you'll get 1000 hp. I bet Al Gore would love this car.

 

No word yet on performance figures or how fast it goes, but if you put a 1000 hp engine into a car that weighs the same as a space heater, I'm sure you will need a change of pants when you put your foot down.

 

The car is looking to debut at the Goodwood Festival of Speed on July 12 and is expected to cost around $149,000. Compared to other supercars that cost between $200,000-300,000, this does look like a bargain. Hopefully it won't drive like a bargain, but who knows.
