Summer is only two days away. With the first weekend of summer looking to be absolutely gorgeous, it's time to start taking off that top. Taking the top off of most cars may not make the driving experience any better, but here are five cars that are much better with their tops off.
Audi R8 Spyder - Sure, this may be 100 kg heavier than the hard top. Even with the extra weight, you don't really notice it when you're doing high speed cornering with the roof off. Plus, the sound of the Lamborghini V10 from the back is a great soundtrack. Still the best handling convertible I've ever driven.
Jaguar F-Type - There's something about this successor to the E-Type that makes it feel like you're doing something naughty. From the sound of the engine, to the speed of either the supercharged V6 or V8, you won't want to drive another car after this one.
BMW Z4 - Most people would prefer the Porsche Boxster, but I prefer this just because it'll give you a good fight if you don't show it whose boss.
Ford Mustang GT - It may not be the best handling car or even the fastest, but this will give you an old fashioned fun time, especially to a trip to the beach
Mazda MX-5 - It's certainly not going to win any prizes in the speed department. However, this car can handle as good as a BMW or Mercedes. So if you want to have fun on small local roads, this is the car for the job.
