Introducing the Double Trouble Hot Rod

1 minute read

In the 1920's, many people would take their roadsters and add more power to them and race each other. This eventually became known as hot rodding. Today, people still put more power and race hot rods, only now there is much more power being put into them.

But I'm sure none of them have as much power as this custom hot rod builder from Nevada. Known as the Double Trouble, this insane 1927 Ford Model T Roadster is fitted with two Ford V8 racing engines and four superchargers on top. Total power output is over 1000-hp. The front may be a Ford Model T, but the back is actually from a Jaguar with modern disk brakes.

Driving it is probably very tricky, especially with four turbochargers blocking your view. But it's always nice to know that you could outrun any car that tries to fly by you. Chances are there won't be any more power added to this monter hot rod because it will just lead to a huge crash and having the car turn into a giant fireball. That would be one of the coolest ways to die though. You can check out pictures and videos of this mad hot rod at the link below.
