Suzuki SX4 2 - One Size Bigger

With its 4.30 m, the second generation Suzuki SX4 is much  longer than its predecessor. It changes outright category

Challenging urban SUV? Even if the feature is in vogue, it does not interest the new SX4. Growing strongly, this second generation prefers face compact 4x4, starting with the Nissan Qashqai.

Launched in 2006, four years before the Nissan Juke, the current SX4 is one of the pioneers of the genre SUV pocket. A position that has not really smiled: last year, in France, it was found that 2,486 buyers, when his compatriot and rival deceived 21,351 fans. To change the situation, Suzuki prefer outright change category. Unveiled at the Geneva Motor Show and marketed in October, the SX4 2 fathom 4.30 m, while his predecessor did not exceed 4.14 m. This time, so this is another bestseller Nissan Qashqai, which is in his sights. Much wiser than the concept S-Cross the last World Cup, the stern of the newcomer is also reminiscent of its competitor.

As with the previous version, the AWD is not supplied as standard

The trunk is the first beneficiary of this change in format. Suzuki announces a volume of 430 dm3, instead of 270 dm3. The wheelbase increased by 10 cm also promises increased roominess, and the seat passengers can even enjoy a breath of fresh air, thanks to a large sunroof, separated into two parts. As for the optional all-wheel drive, it is modernized with a knob that lets you choose between four modes. Available with two 1.6 120 hp, one petrol and one diesel, the SX4 2 still provides at Fiat when carbide diesel. But the relationship with the Italian brand will be less constricted than before because the twin Sedici will not be renewed: the Turin firm prefers to play the card connected with his 500X.
